Redesign Essay Reflection

I felt really good going into the assignment because I was very confident with the advertisement I chose and felt very comfortable with how I could redesign it, I had a few different ideas but I really liked how I had the option to choose an option and one wasn’t chosen for me.
I decided on the advertisement that I did because I could easily appeal to it how it was in the first place and I had a good idea in my head about who I could make it appeal to once I redesigned it. As soon as I saw the ad I knew that I was going to do that one just because I personally enjoy the product and would love if it was bought for me so that made the redesign easier too because I tried to make it so a man would buy the jewelry for the women or daughter or any significant lady in their life.
I pictured in all in my head so all I had to do was say it and write it down before the idea went away or was changed a little bit. Since I had it pictured in my mind it was pretty simple after that all I had to do was make sure it appealed to ethos, pathos, and logos, and had enough detail in it for the person reading it to get a good picture.
I didn’t face many challenges in the beginning of the essay but it was a little challenging explaining every detail and making sure I had every detail so that it was an easy picture in everyone else’s mind that didn’t see the advertisement. I overcame that challenge by reading   over what I wrote a few times and add little details to make sure everything was explained correctly and everything was seen.
What I really liked about this assignment was that we could find our own advertisement and could do whatever we wanted to with it unless it wasn’t approved but mine was. I like having the freedom of being able to do different things with the ad and it be my own ad that I redesigned and made. I used the likes to my advantage by making my redesign ad the exact way I wanted to and making it my own.
I walked away with more knowledge about ethos, pathos, and logos and a lot more understanding of them which helped out a lot in the paper considering we had to make sure they were all in the ad. Also writing more detail in a paper when you’re describing something to someone who has never seen the ad before. I have a greater understanding of both of those aspects now that I have written this paper. Without having an understanding of them this paper would have been very hard.
I wouldn’t do anything differently if I had a chance to rewrite this paper. The things I wanted to do with the essay were approved and I didn’t change a thing of it, I had to add little details but nothing drastic that would have changed how the ad appealed to an audience. I enjoyed what I did with the paper and I believe it was a successful paper.

A Letter to Myself

Dear Hannah,
Everyone makes mistakes every day. One of the most common mistakes that are made is getting a speeding ticket, they aren’t something pleasant to get and no one enjoys it. It’s very hard to not speed sometime, especially when you’re late somewhere but speeding should never be an option, it could be very dangerous and an expensive ending to that mistake. There are many ways to prevent this mistake from happening, one way is to make sure you know exactly where you are going and how much time you have before you make a certain turn or exit for your destination. Also going to speed limit at all times everywhere no matter what and you can easily avoid being pulled over and receiving a ticket. Driving safely will make it easy for you to not receive a ticket; it’s also a better decision to drive safely no matter where you go just to make sure nothing bad will happen while you are driving. It’s never safe to speed you can get into accidents or you could get a ticket which is never fun to pay because they are usually expensive. There are no ways to make the mistake go away or make it acceptable but there are ways you can make the mistake a little bit better. Once you have figured out the cost of your ticket you can call the court and plead guilty and go into court when your court date is scheduled and try to get your ticket reduced by explaining why you were doing what you were doing and depending on how bad the ticket was for, it could be reduced and they could make it so you get no points on your license which stay on your license forever and you never get rid of them, it also looks bad and raises your insurance which nobody wants. Another way you can make the mistake better is by paying the ticket right away and never making the same mistake again, learn from what has happened the first time and getting a ticket usually isn’t the best feeling so the best thing to do is accept it, either take it to court to have it reduced a little or pay it and move on from there. There isn’t much you can do to fix the mistake once it’s been made there is no taking it back. There are many ways to prevent it as long as you follow the speed limits and don’t speed, pay attention to your surroundings, know where you are going and be positive of what you are doing, and always drive safely you have your life in your own hands and anyone else that is in the car with you when you are choosing to speed. All you have to do is think before you do things while you are in the car, it is very important to make sure you know everything you are doing in the car, everything can happen in a blink of an eye.
