A Letter to Myself

Dear Hannah,
Everyone makes mistakes every day. One of the most common mistakes that are made is getting a speeding ticket, they aren’t something pleasant to get and no one enjoys it. It’s very hard to not speed sometime, especially when you’re late somewhere but speeding should never be an option, it could be very dangerous and an expensive ending to that mistake. There are many ways to prevent this mistake from happening, one way is to make sure you know exactly where you are going and how much time you have before you make a certain turn or exit for your destination. Also going to speed limit at all times everywhere no matter what and you can easily avoid being pulled over and receiving a ticket. Driving safely will make it easy for you to not receive a ticket; it’s also a better decision to drive safely no matter where you go just to make sure nothing bad will happen while you are driving. It’s never safe to speed you can get into accidents or you could get a ticket which is never fun to pay because they are usually expensive. There are no ways to make the mistake go away or make it acceptable but there are ways you can make the mistake a little bit better. Once you have figured out the cost of your ticket you can call the court and plead guilty and go into court when your court date is scheduled and try to get your ticket reduced by explaining why you were doing what you were doing and depending on how bad the ticket was for, it could be reduced and they could make it so you get no points on your license which stay on your license forever and you never get rid of them, it also looks bad and raises your insurance which nobody wants. Another way you can make the mistake better is by paying the ticket right away and never making the same mistake again, learn from what has happened the first time and getting a ticket usually isn’t the best feeling so the best thing to do is accept it, either take it to court to have it reduced a little or pay it and move on from there. There isn’t much you can do to fix the mistake once it’s been made there is no taking it back. There are many ways to prevent it as long as you follow the speed limits and don’t speed, pay attention to your surroundings, know where you are going and be positive of what you are doing, and always drive safely you have your life in your own hands and anyone else that is in the car with you when you are choosing to speed. All you have to do is think before you do things while you are in the car, it is very important to make sure you know everything you are doing in the car, everything can happen in a blink of an eye.

  1. I think you gave yourself good advice at preventing a speeding ticket. I thought you should include that another way to prevent speeding is to not be late to where you're going. Be sure that you have enough time to get where you're going, or you'll be more likely to speed. You also gave great advice if you already got a speeding ticket, and you have a ticket.

  2. After reasing this, I think this is good advice. Speeding is not an option to get where you need to be. Leaving at an earlier time is the resolution to not5 getting a speeding ticket. Since you already had a ticket, someone reading this should take this advice to not be in the position that you were in.
