Summary and Response

Sherman Alexi learned how to read a young age and he wasn’t taught how to read by a teacher or parent he taught himself how to read, not many young kids can actually do that. He was already smart, he taught himself how to read by looking at pictures in Superman comic books with all the pictures and all the detail of them. He mentioned that his dad loved books and always had so many books in the house which made him want to love books and that’s what he did. Literacy was important to him because his dad loved it so much and he wanted to be just like his dad. This isn’t essential to me because I learned reading a whole different way. I learned how to read a lot easier than he did and I had more resources than he did when I learned how to read.
