From Virginia Heffernen:

1.       My elementary, middle, and high school teachers could have had us do more projects or just any type if school work on the computer instead of basically nothing accept using the computer for research and to type papers.

2.       The type of technology I thought I would be using with my future career would be computers to store information, and other then that not much because I would most likely be working with my hands a lot and writing information. I believe college will help me with having to use the computer more in my future; I’ll be more familiar with certain things.

3.       I feel like I write better in a more relaxed scene than a blog or an email, I would rather write down my thoughts and things then put them on a blog or email. I’d also rather call someone and tell them something rather than an email.

4.       I would have my student’s do a lot of work on the computer but be understandable if the computer had a problem, which a lot of teachers are understandable considering you never know what could happen to a computer at any time. I would give out projects, papers, and assignments online and have the students get used to using the computer more but I would also give them assignments on paper and other things on paper so they don’t fully get used to everything being on the computer.

5.       I don’t agree with the tone of this piece I believe we should prepare people for what is going on and what is going to happen in the future instead of not preparing them at all for something that doesn’t exist yet. Yes, we don’t know what the future holds but it’s better to be prepared for something that will most likely be in the future that will only get more fancy and learn everything about how it is now and eventually work your way up from there.
